For my last photo essay, the subject I chose was abandoned places. The photos of the two abandoned buildings were taken down the street from my house and the photos of the abandoned green house were taken in my next-door neighbor's yard. Iwanted to capture the element of decay in both places. To exhibit the beauty of some places even when no one cares for them. Abandoned places really interest me and I felt there was nothing better for a final project than this. Theses images together tell a story that's dated back decades. A juxtaposition between destruction and growth. Plants, moss, mold, and trees have overrun these lonely places and grown over most of the architecture. Their growth destroys these places and breaks them down to nothing. All the photos are visually uniform because they all the same color scheme. I also shot most of the photos away and at an angle to create a little more depth.
