Lanterns
I made my lantern for my step-dad Brian. He went away to Hawaii for most of November and I planned on giving him this for Christmas, however I ended up giving it to him as soon as he got home. I took two full length shots of two different sculptures, and then I focused in and took two pictures with a shallow depth of field of the same sculptures. Josh helped me make the initial base and then I had to create a new frame to go over the pictures and paint both structures I had black. When the paint was dry, I glued the photos on the inside of the frame and pinned the frame to the initial base. After the sides were all put up, I had to make a top and bottom. For the bottom, I just used black poster board and cut a hole in the bottom to fit the tea light in. Then for the top, I used the same paper I used for the photos and put a clear sheet on top.
